Islamic Scholar harps On Unity As Molaba Muslim Community Central Mosque Honours Muslim Faithfuls
The Chief Imam, Ansar -ud-een Society of Nigeria ( Oyo Branch), Fadeelatu Sheikh Al-Imam Mikail Bolaji Adeyemo , has harped on the importance of promoting love and unity in a society, affirming that both are tools for rapid development and progress.
The revered scholar said this on Saturday at the Turbaning Presentation and Merit Award Ceremony of the Molaba Muslim Community Central Mosque held at Ansar -Ud- Deen Primary School , Alagbon , Oyo .
The event attended by traditional rulers, religious leaders, Senator, Representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Senator.Dr Yunus Akintunde, Member, Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Prince Akeem Adeyemi, Chairman, Oyo State Agricultural Credit Corporation, Sheikh. Taofeek Akewugbagold and other personalities served as platform for family members of the community to interact.
Speaking further, the Guest Lecturer, Fadeelatu Sheikh Bolaji , said Islam supported the conferment of religion titles and awards but only to those who truly believe in Allah and uphold the tenets of Islam.
He explained that it was essential for the titleholders in various mosques to prioritize the welfare of their Imams just as the execution of developmental projects.
He called on members of Molaba Muslim Community Central Mosque to remain united and embrace equity in the cause of promoting Islam.
Fadeelatu Sheikh Bolaji also urged the new awardees and titleholders to support the mosque significantly to achieve the identified projects, assuring that multiple rewards await anyone who answered the call of Allah and also spend part of his or her resources.
The Chief Host, Dr. Mufutau Ayoola , said the mosque decided to honor the distinguished personalities following their impact and contributions to the development of the mosque and community at large .
Dr Ayoola , while appreciating groups and individuals for their support, noted that the programme had enabled members of the community to get much closer.
He urged individuals to keep the family bound intact as being stated in the Holy Quran.
In their separate remarks, Aare Musulumi of Oyo town, Alhaji Tajudeen Kamarise and Royal Mother of the Day, Ayaba Sulat
Motunrayo Adeyemi , sought continued cooperation of all and sundry in a bid to give Molaba Muslim Community Central Mosque a desired face lift within the shortest possible time.
Alhaji Kamarise, who was the Spiritual Father of the Day, also called on the new titleholders to see the titles conferred on them as challenges to do more for the Ummah.
Earlier, the Chief Imam of Molaba Muslim Community Central Mosque, Sheikh Al-Imam Soliudeen Oladokun, said, most of the previous titleholders in the mosque were deceased, which he said, responsible for the epoch making event.
In a separate interview with the new titleholders of the mosque, Engr. Alhaji Salawu Adetokunbo (Amir-ul – Mumini), Alhaja, Rashidat Adegoke (Irawo Adinni) and Alhaja Sulat Opeloyeru ( Iya Sunnah ), expressed their joy over the titles bestowed on them by the mosque.
The trio described the event as part of the beauty of Islam that promote unity among the benefactors and Molaba Muslim Community as a whole, adding that the honor and recognition would spur them to do more for Islam.
