League of Imams and Alfas turbans Ambassador Orankan as Alaranse Adinni of Oyo State

In recognition of his numerous contributions to the development of Islam and humanitarian services through beneficial projects and empowerment initiatives, the Executive Chairman, Irorun-Ni Charitable Foundation Nigeria, Ambassador Shakirullah Jimoh-Orankan has been conferred with the title of Aare Alaranse Adinni of Oyo State.
The turbaning of Ambassador Jimoh-Orankan was held at the Central Mosque, Oja’ba by the League of Imams and Alfas of Oyo state under the chairmanship of Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdulganiyy Agbotomokekere.


Speaking on criteria for the installation of Aare Alaranse Adinni of Oyo State, Sheikh Agbotomokekere said Ambassador Jimoh-Orankan’ s antecedents of track records of humanitarian and community development for the benefit of Ummah, as attested to by many Muslims qualify him for the honour.
“We turban him as Aare Alaranse Adinni of Oyo State to appreciate his good works towards Islam in order to spur him to do more and encourage others to imbibe the spirit of giving to the society”, Agbotomokekere noted.
The Chief Imam of Ibadanland called on wealthy Muslims to spend in the cause of Allah for eternal rewards and to assist people.
Asiwaju Adinni of Oyo State, Alhaji Mutiullah Oladejo affirmed that Ambassador Jimoh-Orankan’ is a philanthropist par excellence who is not fond of seeking public attraction.
He noted that the installation of Asiwaju Adinni will usher in more progress for Islam.
In a lecture, the Chief Imam of Ogbomosoland, Dr Taliat Ayilara admonished Ambassador Jimoh-Orankan’ to deploy his God-given intelligence, versed knowledge of Islamic jurisprudence, cordial rapport and wealth to advance the cause of Islam by being alive to responsibility when the need arises.
According to Dr Ayilara, the Ibadan Central Mosque, Oja’ba, Ibadan, is the headquarters of Muslims in Oyo state, the edifice requires a facelift, we have confidence in the Aare Alaranse Adinni to make this a reality”.

In his remarks, the newly installed Aare Alaranse Adinni of Oyo State, Ambassador Shakirullah Jimoh-Orankan’ expressed happiness and appreciation to Allah and the League of Imams and Alfas for being considered worthy of the lofty position.
Aare Alaranse Adinni promised to renovate the Ibadan Central Mosque, Oja’ba, intensify efforts towards ensuring all round development for the Ummah through Irorun-Ni Charitable Foundation Nigeria.
“We Muslims are in need of training centre; the Ummah deserves vocational skills to have decent means of living” he noted.
The awardee also reiterated his commitment to do more for the common good, saying the honour is a call for more services.

The National Treasurer, Irorun-Ni Charitable Foundation Nigeria, Dr Muhammad-Lawal Alongbija described the newly turbanned Aare Alaranse Adinni of Oyo state as a kind-hearted, altruistic, cheerful giver who is always desirous of bringing succour to the needy in the society, with so many giant projects to uplift humanity through functional education. “Aare Alaranse Adinni’s impact is feasible in all the nooks and crannies of Oyo state: he has built Mosques, Islamic schools, hospitals, constructed a School of Science at Iroko, Oyo and has recently secured the National Universities Commission, NUC’s approval for the take off of a university”, Alongbija hinted.

Highlights of the well attended event by Chief Imams from all zones of Oyo state, Islamic organizations and notable Islamic figures including the Wakil Muslimeen of Oyo State, Professor Kamil Oloso, Mufti of Ibadanland, Sheikh Bari Adetunji, the Director, Arabic Institute Nigeria, Elekuro, Ibadan, Dr Nasir Abdusalaam, among others was presentation of Award plague and Certificate of office to the Aare Alaranse Adinni of Oyo State.
