School Resumption: Oyo Edu Commissioner Expresses Satisfaction Over Teachers, Students Compliance

The Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Salihu Adelabu on Tuesday, embarked on monitoring of activities and inspection of schools, as pupils and students resumed for the second term of the 2024/2025 Second Term Academic Session across the state.

The Commissioner, who led other government officials on schools’ inspection, expressed satisfaction with the turn out of the teachers in the Schools visited.

Schools visited include Oke Bola Comprehensive High School,Ibadan; IMG, Secondary School, Sharp Corner, Oke-Ado; Baptist Secondary School, Oke-Ado,Ibadan,
Ansarudeen High School, Ibadan , among others.

He noted that teachers in all schools monitored were actively on the ground and the teaching and learning had commenced.
He called on Parents to allow their children to go back to their schools as the second term academic session began.

The Commissioner said, : You know, before today, we had a pre-resumption meeting with all the principals, and they are living up to the expectations.

” Few schools that we have gone have started classes almost immediately and the attendance is not that poor. And I sincerely want to thank all the teachers because the teachers’ attendance today is over 90 percent by my observations. It is very okay with us.
