Home Based Eagles Pick CHAN Ticket
Nigeria’s home-based Super Eagles on Saturday defeated the Black Galaxies of Ghana (3-1) in the final qualifier of the 2024 African Nations Championship ( CHAN).
The result gave the home based eagles a slot in the tournament proper .
Sadiq Ismail opened the scoring in the 18th minute. Nduka Junior made it 2-0 in the 21st minute, slamming his effort into the roof of the net.
In the 25th minute, Nigeria increased the tally , courtesy of Saviour Isaac superb goal .
The Black Galaxies pulled a goal back in the 73rd minute through Stephen Amankona.
Recall that the first leg in Accra between the two countries ended goalless.
